That’s right, a Non-Surgical Solution to a Facelift

At our boutique in Syracuse, liquid facelift (also known as a non-surgical facelift) is a frequently asked-about treatment that we provide our patients to combat aging. Many of our patients are interested in aesthetic rejuvenation treatments but aren’t quite ready for surgery, which makes a non-surgical facelift a perfect solution. The procedure offers a quicker recovery period and is substantially less expensive than a traditional facelift.

What is a Liquid Facelift (Non-Surgical Facelift)

When you have a non-surgical facelift (oftentimes referred to as a Liquid Facelift) performed, dermal fillers are injected into your skin to reduce the wrinkles and sagging that comes with age. Some of our patients have also utilized facial dermal fillers to help minimize a scar’s appearance, plumpen their cheeks, or even add volume to their brow line.

The injected dermal fillers will give your skin a smoother, plumper appearance, filling out the roles of collagen and elastin which will support your skin.

There are several options for dermal fillers:

  • Calcium Hydroxylapatite – This is a mineral that can be found in your bones and can last up to 18 months. It is often used to fill in Acne Scars.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – A natural substance that is produced by your body and one of the more popular types of dermal filler. It fills in the space between elastin and collagen fibers to plumpen and moisturize your skin.
  • Poly-L-Lactic Acid – This is made from the same material as dissolvable stitches and can last up to 2 years.
  • Polymethylmethacrylate Beads – These smooth plastic particles help encourage your body to create more collagen. They are unable to be absorbed by your body and are typically used around your mouth.

What to Expect on the day of your Non-Surgical Facelift?

When you come into our office for your Liquid Facelift, you will first be administered local anesthesia or topical numbing cream to help ease any discomfort during the procedure. Then, the dermal fillers will be injected into the targeted areas using a fine needle that may feel like a “pinching” sensation when inserted.

The whole procedure takes about 60 minutes in total, depending on the number of areas that require attention.

Liquid Facelift Recovery?

After receiving your dermal fillers, you will be able to return to most of your normal routine.
